Between 1922 and 2010 home for The Crown Lodge was number 74 Wordsworth Street, a building with a long and proud history that was purpose built. With the age of the building, the continued repairs and costs of maintenance, a decision to sell the property was reached. The final meeting in The Crown Masonic Centre was held in August 2010 before the keys were handed over to new owners. Unfortunately, the building suffered irreparable damage in the Christchurch earthquake and was later demolished. Since 2010, The Crown Lodge meetings are now held in the newly built Freemasons Centre at 9 Shirley Road, Christchurch.
